Translation management
- one2edit was originally developed for the marketing department of a well-known inernational company, regarding the complex conditions of translation management. So translation management for high-quality designed marketing documents is so to say our core discipline. We payed special attention to all aspects and requirements which the different users involved in the workflow have, for example agencys, head- and country marketing, translators or printers. With one2edit you can map your processes digitally and always have an overview over the status of your documents - while still being as creative and as flexible as before.
As you have the possibility to edit online, while complying to CI and having a precise print preview, the usual "copy&paste" and complete reworking of the documents is dropped. By storing the documents centrally and being able to access them at any time, problems concerning the transmission of data (E-Mail, Fax, PDF, Word-documents) do not occur in the first place. Also, it is not necessary for external service providers to "rebuild" the documents because they use different layout software. This eliminates the problem that documents may then not conform to CD-guidelines.
Special functions, such as sentence-based editing and approval or handling country-specific fonts (CE, Cyrillic, ...) save you a lot of work. The integration of language databases prevents multiple translations of the same contents and enables you to use previously checked terms and sentences and to write translations back to the database.
Document management, coordination- and approval processes
- In one2edit, you can manage and organise your documents freely in folders with access rights, similar to an operating system. Every document has its own status. You can drag & drop items even though you are working in your browser. By assigning workflows and users, coordination- and approval processes can be initiated. Expensive correction runs via PDF belong to the past - the client can make changes himself and approve the document.
Brand management
- For brand management, one2edit offers many possibilities by providing InDesign documents as "templates". You can determine which parts of the document are editable. This way, external users are able to create their own versions via their browser, individualize and approve them and initiate further processes using the workflow manager, e.g. forwarding the data. Whether these documents are business cards, ads, vouchers, packing, POS-material or whole brochures - with one2edit you have all the flexibility of InDesign combined with the extended features of one2edit, allowing users to edit documents while still conforming to CI.
Editorial workflows
- one2edit enables your external (or also internal) editors, to put texts into layout via their browser - while having an immediate, precise print preview. The layouter keeps all his flexibility and creativity. He can make changes to the document anytime via InDesign. A mechanism to check documents in and out as well as user roles [...] correspond to common procedures. It is also possible to work with annotations. When working with one2edit, no installation of layout- or editorial software is necessary on the editor's client. All that is needed is provided by one2edit via the browser.
